Project Title: The Lonely Winter
Project Overview: Includes a book design and promotional campaign. The title leans itself to certain emotive qualities that I captured visually: loneliness, melancholy, cold, winter. These themes are captured in the cool background colors and the depiction of leaves blowing from a tree and becoming snow. As the title of the book moves forward, and the snow from the tree blows backward, towards the title, a visual flow is created enticing the eye to stay within the picture plane. The challenge with this project was solving how to successfully integrate the title with the tree or if they should be combined at all.
