Experimental Calendar

Project Title: Experimental Calendar
Project Overview: An experimental calendar that explores, through illustration, how people are affected both literally and conceptually by time. Each month is represented by a single concept of this theme and attributes a characteristic (i.e. season, trait, holiday) to each month. April pertains to the idea that one can “drown in time” which is appropriate with April showers. I captured a semi-surreal atmosphere within the work by integrating abstract color and texture with ink drawings of the calendar field and figure. Though only three months are illustrated, my challenge would be how to find a theme in terms of time for each of the twelve months, without becoming repetitive.
